About Ben

Passionate about all types of music and was a pillar of the Albany music community. Ben was involved in the booking and organizing of DIY shows in the Albany area and beyond. He and his roommates ran a local venue, The Rat Den, providing artists with the opportunity to express themselves and community members with a place to congregate in a safe, loving environment. Ben also organized shows and tours enabling so many with opportunities to express their art. Active as a musical artist and songwriter, Ben served as vocalist, bassist, and front-man of Albany metal duo Miller Time, and played bass in Medical Board, an indie slowcore duo with his brother.

Ben recorded solo work and collaborated with others, embracing all types of music, enjoying all genres, and supporting everyone’s individual style.

Always accepting and available, lending an emotional ear and support to all, Ben’s gentle and welcoming nature was evident in everything he did.

He had countless friends that he loved and was loved by, and is tremendously missed.
